Neopost's SI76 folder inserter includes this unique suite of features in a quiet, compact
production machine, combining simple operation, intelligence, versatility and power:
• A Load-N-Go mode allows users to load their documents and run their applications at
the touch of a button. Load-N-Go automatically detects which feeders have paper,
then adjusts settings such as fold type, fold length, envelope size, paper length and
paper thickness. Load-N-Go virtually eliminates operator adjustments and the need to
program every job, making the SI76 the world's easiest-to-use production folder
inserter.
• The FlexFeed document feeding system allows users to insert documents in almost
any combination and process sets of varying paper sizes and assembly order. With
FlexFeed, there is no need to dedicate feeders to specific paper sizes or tasks.
FlexFeed also has the intelligence to feed multiple sheets from the same feeder, and
supports dynamic loading of additional sheets during processing.
• Feeder swap links sheet feeders and insert feeders for continuous efficient
processing—when one tray empties, the next one starts.
• From two to six feed stations—the highest number available in a tabletop folder
inserter. The SI76 can scale with customer needs, and they can add feed stations to
the machine as their applications require.
• Increased throughput—large tray capacities of up to 325 business reply envelopes or
1,200 sheets with the optional Production Feeder make the SI76 more efficient than
any of its competition. This allows employees to spend less time filling the trays,
maximizing finished piece throughput, and reducing time spent running the machine.
• The Powerfold8 document folding mechanism can double-fold or tri-fold and insert
up to eight sheets of 20 lb. paper to accommodate a wide variety of applications and
paper thicknesses.
• The Secure-N-Feed thickness detection system automatically detects the thickness
of the first document as it passes through the feed stations, and verifies the thickness
of subsequent documents. This ensures that documents are not split into separate
envelopes, or combined into a single envelope.
• The Secure-N-Sert finished set thickness detection system automatically ensures the
right number of sheets are inserted into the envelope. Neopost is the only vendor to
offer thickness detection at the feed stations and at the point of insertion.
• An optional Optical Mark Recognition system supports variable page length
documents, by scanning optical marks applied to documents as they are printed.
These sets of documents are then automatically accumulated and processed. The
optical marks uniquely identify the beginning and end of each document, and are used
to separate documents such as individual statements and invoices.
• The Intellideck document platform provides visual inspection of faulty
sets or sets
that are too thick to fold, while the SI76 continues to operate.
• A single, centralized control panel, with graphic and text prompts, allows users to
monitor production status and to select, program and edit up to nine of their common
applications.
