Shipment Preparation Application

iLS.PRE-SHIP™: Combines the three functionalities above with a customdesigned
user interface. Users may preprocess an express shipment or overnight
letter at their desktop computer by easily entering shipment information into fields
on their desktop computer using a mouse, pull down menus, and an electronic
address book. They may rate shop for the preferred shipping option and add any
special shipping instructions. Non-legible handwritten shipment request forms are
replaced with bar coded, address-verified printed forms at the user's desk. Upon
arrival at the mailroom or shipping station, the operator scans the bar code, and the
package information is automatically populated into a Neopost shipping system
and then processed for carrier pickup. Shipping instructions are applied
automatically and the sender's transaction file is updated electronically with
detailed parcel information. An e-mail shipment notification is automatically
forwarded to both the sender and recipient confirming the shipment time, carrier
service, estimated delivery time, package ID information, and a direct link to the
carrier web site for real-time tracking. iLS.PRE-SHIP includes department/GL code
validation and account budget validation databases.
