Title: Product Manager, Mailing Systems
Location: Hayward, CA
Reporting to: Director, Product Marketing

Responsibilities:

  • Drive product line growth across all Mailing Systems products at Neopost, Inc.
  • Oversee the creation and management of the following:
    • Strategic product development
    • Revenue and market share growth on each line of product
    • Profitability at the gross margin level
  • Drive product life cycle management process by which new products are successfully launched and positioned, and sustaining products are profitably phased out of marketplace.
  • Contribute to new product development by capturing emerging customer requirements and then interfacing effectively with R&D, manufacturing, Marketing and Sales.
  • Lead the way in partnering with Sales to develop the right mix of pricing, promotions and selling tools to successfully develop relationships with key accounts in each selling region.

Job Duties:

  • Create product-line specific marketing plans that maximize industry conditions and meet/exceed budget/revenue goals.
  • Position products and message to insure the right mixes of unit, gross margin and revenue performance.
  • Manage all product-marketing activities for the Mailing Systems product line, including the creation of marketing specifications for new products that meet current and future needs.
  • Manage product development and coordination with R&D and Manufacturing.
  • Management of meter assets for full deployment.
  • Work with Director of Sales Tools and Development:
    • Create and maintain appropriate sales literature and advertising materials
    • Create appropriate product manuals and promotional materials
    • Presence at tradeshows including booth design and staffing
  • Develop relationships with OEM customers to discuss new product needs and developments.
  • Develop relationships with end-users and private-label accounts to identify new opportunities.
  • Support the sales force through customer meetings, sales training programs and curriculum for the sales force members.
  • Create and maintain all information as relates to Mailing Systems for:
    • Sales automation system
    • Competitive analysis
    • Marketing encyclopedia
    • Ordering system, calendar, etc.
    • Acquisition and management of computer hardware for sales automation.

Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to lead the Product Management process from concept through launch.
  • Proven ability to create and execute comprehensive marketing plans.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding account management skills.
