Also with WINLINK, Canafax can easily track an order for verification
as well as handle customer inquiries more quickly. In terms
of customer-service inquiries, the system has been a real time-saver
for us ? we can access that information right away, she said.
Canafax added that because of time saved as a result of the FriendShip®/WINLINKcombination,
the General Board of Global Ministries went from handling about
400 shipments per day to 500 or more, and up to 900 during the busy
holiday season.
Henkel noted that the idea to interface the shipping system with
the General Board of Global Ministries mainframe came up years
ago, but the technology wasnt there. When WINLINK
came out, it was exactly what the General Board of Global Ministries
had been looking for, he said. Canafax credited David Haley,
the Neopost WINLINK specialist for IKON in Cincinnati, with
making the Boards transition to WINLINK especially smooth.
David was very helpful, she said. He worked with
our programmer until it was set up.
