Neopost's FriendShip® System Saves Duncan Time And Money
With the Neopost FriendShip® system, a key selling point for Milam was that it consolidates parcel shipping carriers and their rate information in a single unit. This allows Holzmer to place a package on one electronic scale and "rate-shop" for the lowest-priced carrier. Tracking postage use is also easier through the reporting function on the FriendShip® system. Milam previously used Microsoft Excel® to create reports and monitor postage use for budgeting purposes; with FriendShip®, she simply enters a code and a report can be generated instantly.

In addition, the FriendShip/SM94 combination allows for better tracking of outgoing packages and mail, through the use of carrier tracking-number barcoding. The equipment also allows Duncan to respond to ongoing changes in the shipping industry, specifically electronic transmission of detailed package information. For example, FriendShip® is UPS OnLine Compatible®, providing a direct interface between Neopost customers and UPS for easier manifesting and tracking of packages.

In all, Milam can't say enough about the Neopost equipment. "With such a variety of items being sent through this office," she says, "it's good to have such a comprehensive system available."
