Benefits
With the addition of the Neopost VersaMailer tabletop folder/inserter,
Tucker immediately realized the benefits of having such a well-designed,
powerful and easy-to-operate unit at his disposal.
"The VersaMailer is so easy to use that it required little
training compared with our previous folder/inserter," Tucker
said. "New operators also are able to master the machine in
a short time."
Tucker said he also appreciates how the Neopost VersaMailer automatically
performs many functions that had to be done manually with Boeing's
previous folder/inserter. In the past, he said, Boeing's mailroom
staff always had to make manual adjustments to their old unit before
a job was processed. The VersaMailer makes most of these adjustments
automatically.
Another benefit of the VersaMailer, Tucker said, is the amount
of time his staff saves by using the folder/inserter's job memory
feature. The VersaMailer can remember the settings for up to nine
separate, commonly used jobs that are run on the machine. This eliminates
the need to make many of the manual adjustments required for different
mailings.
The benefits do not stop there. According to Neopost's Bailey,
Boeing is taking full advantage of the VersaMailer's ability to
insert up to 50 sheets in a flat. "With this capability, they
are doing many jobs on the VersaMailer that they used to do by hand,"
Bailey said.
Overall, Tucker says that because of the reliability and speed
of the Neopost VersaMailer, Boeing has considerably reduced the
time needed to fold and insert outgoing mail, which, he said, translates
to money saved as well.
