Solution
After pricing folder/inserters from a variety of manufacturers,
Tucker consulted with Rick Bailey and Mike Bogad from Neopost's
St. Louis sales office. Bailey and Bogad recommended the Neopost
SI90 VersaMailer tabletop folder/inserter, because of the unit's
ability to automate more folding and inserting functions than any
other machine on the market. And since Tucker was already pleased
with the performance and reliability of three Neopost SM94 mail
machines Boeing was using at the St. Louis facility, he decided
the VersaMailer would make a sensible addition to the mailroom.
The VersaMailer, considerably smaller than Boeing's previous unit,
was everything Tucker was looking for in a folder/inserter and more.
It automatically folds and inserts documents into a full range of
envelope sizes, from the small 3H" x 5H" envelope up to
10L" x 13" including the commonly used 9"
x 12"flat. In fact, the VersaMailer is the only tabletop folder/inserter
in the world that can process flats measuring up to 10L" x
13" as well as #10 and other smaller envelopes.
The VersaMailer also can quickly handle a wide range of tasks such
as regular invoice and statement mailings as well as payroll and
accounts payable checks. And with a capacity of up to 1.2 million
cycles per year, at speeds of up to 4,000 cycles per hour, the VersaMailer
could easily handle Boeings current amount of outgoing mail
now, along with any future increases that might develop.
